Teacher Training

In 2017, Lumi Power Yoga launched Lumi Foundation with the mission to bring yoga outside the studio walls to communities that are at a disadvantage - financial, physical, age or otherwise - in accessing yoga.

Lumi Power Yoga and Lumi Foundation have always stood for connection, togetherness and for sharing yoga with everyone, irrespective of physical or mental ability, race, shape, age, sexual orientation or any other factor that is on the surface of our common humanity.

As a community and business, Lumi Foundation and Lumi Power Yoga are committed to making yoga available within and beyond the studio walls.

An important part of that commitment is scholarships that Lumi Power Yoga offer for selected yogis to complete their well-established and highly rated 200hr yoga teacher training, fully or partly subsidised.  Over the years, many recipients of the scholarships have transformed their lives and some have become yoga teachers, sharing yoga in their communities.

For the 2026 Teacher Training, Lumi Power Yoga is excited to offer a scholarship that covers 50% of the cost of the Teacher Training.  That means the cost of the training is £1,570 (full price is £3,140).

With this scholarship, Lumi Power Yoga seeks to further spread yoga and the benefits of yoga in communities close to the studio.  The scholarship is focusing on two dimensions:
 

• Supporting the recipient to create positive changes in their own life through a training process, including becoming a certified yoga teacher

•  Giving back to the community.  This is a commitment of the recipient of the scholarship to share yoga after they have completed their teacher training

Who should apply?
The eligibility criteria includes:
 

• Must have a consistent yoga practice

• Must be a connection to Lumi Power Yoga or Lumi Foundation communities

• Must be able to demonstrate genuine financial need

• Commitment to sharing yoga in the community after completing the training

You will be asked to prove your financial need by supplying bank statements.
