Slow Down Sunday Yin Yoga Workshop
In this yin workshop, the goal is to slow down and switch off from the busy day-to-day routine.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, spring is a time when yin energy is evolving into yang. It's a time when the natural world is waking up from its winter slumber and there's new growth everywhere.
Just as nature enters a cycle of renewal, growth and expansion in this season, so does the energy within us.

Join us for this yin workshop on Sunday 17 May, 2-4pm, led by Rebecca. You can join the workshop in person at Lumi Power Yoga or online via Zoom.
About the Workshop

This 120-minute workshop incorporates the use of tennis balls to release tension in tight areas of connective tissue held around the muscles (myofascia), followed by long-held stretches that target the same area for maximum impact and release.
By following our myofascial release practice with yin poses, the muscles are better primed to be stretched safely and effectively.

So, if you’re keen to step into the energy of growth, blossoming and expansion, come and join us for this two-hour workshop to walk out feeling rejuvenated, relaxed and restored.

About Rebecca:

Rebecca's goal is to empower students, both physically and mentally, via their yoga practice. She is a firm believer that if you can breathe, you can practice yoga.
She encourages yogis to let go of the need to be 'perfect' in favour of developing a compassionate practice that respects and nourishes the body - and the South Asian roots of the yoga teachings and traditions - in an authentic and accessible way.
Rebecca qualified as a yoga teacher and discovered that the wonderful 'yang' of vinyasa flow can be balanced with a calmer, restorative 'yin' practice. She is passionate about the power of the yin practice and the benefits is can bring.
