Flow to Rest: a yoga nidra workshop
Yoga nidra, sometimes called yogic sleep, is a guided meditation practice that creates a deep state of both physical relaxation and mental awareness. The practice can be done lying down or seated and uses techniques including body scans and mental imagery to guide practitioners into a place of rest.
The objectives of this workshop are to:
-
Give yogis an understanding of what yoga nidra is.
-
Explain the benefits of yoga nidra and how it can be incorporated into daily life.
-
Offer a nidra practice accessible to everyone including both experienced practitioners and those who are completely new to it.
-
Access deep, restorative rest in order to reduce stress and anxiety and calm the nervous system.
-
Journey towards a deeper state of relaxation and unity of being.
Join us for this relaxing workshop on Saturday 8th November from 3.30-5pm in person and online.

Your teacher: Suzanne Pendlebury
Suzanne has found joy in yoga nidra in a world that sometimes feels like it never stops. She views it as a great way to soften and ultimately, to find balance.
With a tendency towards being a night owl, she has learned to create an evening routine with yoga nidra to help wind down and rest and she is excited to share this with you.
Initially training in dynamic vinyasa, Suzanne has broadened her training to include yoga nidra, yin, chair yoga and Reiki. Suzanne has been taught by many wise and wonderful teachers and is now in the privileged position to teach in a variety of studios and other settings.
She has taught for the Lumi Foundation since 2022.
