Yin Workshop

Self-Care Saturday Yin Yoga Workshop

It's not always easy to find time for ourselves.  Time to take care of ourselves.  Time to rest, relax and restore.  There's no better time to do that then now, as we transition from summer to fall.  And there's no better way to do that than a yin workshop.

It is the perfect time to draw energy inward, lending us time to pause, reflect, take stock of and process what came of the summer growing season.

Join us for a yin workshop on Saturday 15 October, 2-4pm, led by Virginie Firth.  You can join the workshop in person at Lumi Power Yoga or in-person via Zoom.

During the workshop you will:

  • Find time to pause, slow down and nurture yourself

  • Re-balance in the busyness we are so used to

  • Release physical and mental tension

Highlights include:

  • Breathing (pranayama) exercises to calm and still the body and mind

  • An extended yin practise where you will enjoy supported poses for between 3-7 minutes

  • Use of props to help support and release your own unique body so you can find stillness and comfort in each pose

  • Finish with a long and lingering surrender in Savasana to relax your entire nervous system

Cost:

'Self-Care Saturday' is a fundraising event for Lumi Foundation and will be donation based. All proceeds will go to Lumi Foundation.

About Virginie:

Virginie started her yoga journey out of joyful curiosity. Her practice soon became a time of deep, meaningful and powerful connections to her body, mind, heart and the present moment. Yoga enables her to create space for new possibilities, and to reach and connect outwards through assisting and teaching.

She qualified as a Lumi yoga teacher and discovered that the wonderful "yang" of vinyasa flow can be balanced with a calmer, restorative "yin" practice. She is passionate about the power of yin practice and the benefits it can bring.
